Camera, microphone, and media
With your permission, SwitchNova accesses camera and microphone input and videos you select to create your program. When you broadcast, the selected audio and video are transmitted to the streaming destinations you enable. Local recordings are saved on your device or in Photos. Camera inputs connected through the local-network feature exchange media and control information with paired devices.
Connected accounts
When you connect a service such as Facebook, YouTube, or Restream, the service provides authorized account or channel information and credentials. This may include profile and Page names, identifiers, channel details, and an email address when returned by a connected service. SwitchNova uses this information to display destinations and perform the livestream actions you request.
Facebook permissions are used to identify the connected profile, list managed Pages, and create and manage live videos for destinations you select. Broadcasting makes content available according to the destination and audience settings on the platform.
Storage and service providers
The app stores destination settings and media references locally. Stream keys and connected-account credentials are stored in iOS Keychain. Tokens may remain valid until they expire or access is revoked through the connected platform.
For Restream sign-in and credential renewal, a Light Film Media LLC service hosted on Cloudflare processes authorization codes or refresh tokens and returns credentials to the app. Its implementation does not write those credentials to an application database. It uses request information, including an IP address, for rate limiting. Hosting providers may process network and operational information needed to deliver and secure their services.
Selected platforms receive your stream and the requests needed to operate your broadcast. Their handling and retention of information are governed by their own policies. This support website is hosted using Sites; its hosting providers may process basic request information to serve and protect the website.
Support requests
If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it to respond to your request and address the reported issue. Please avoid sending credentials or unnecessary personal information.
Your choices and deletion
You can manage camera, microphone, Photos, and local-network permissions in iOS Settings. Remove saved destinations in SwitchNova and revoke the app’s access in the connected service to stop future account access. Removing a destination does not delete recordings already published on a platform or saved in Photos.
See data-deletion instructions for the steps and how to request deletion of information you supplied to support. Information already held by a streaming platform or hosting provider is also subject to that provider’s controls and retention practices.
Security and updates
Keep your device and connected accounts secure. No network or storage system can guarantee absolute security. This page will be updated when these practices change, with the effective date shown above.
